Itinerary:

DAY 1

Arrival in Paro & Transfer to Thimphu

Begin your Bhutan adventure with your arrival at Paro International Airport. After a scenic drive to Thimphu, check in at Hotel Bhutan Home to relax and unwind. In the afternoon, visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong, which serves as the seat of the government and monastic body. Conclude your day with an evening walk through Thimphu city, soaking in the local atmosphere.

DAY 2

Thimphu Sightseeing

Explore the capital city of Thimphu, starting with the iconic Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of the third king. Visit the National Institute for Zorig Chusum to learn about traditional arts and crafts, followed by the Royal Textile Museum, which showcases Bhutan’s rich textile heritage. Marvel at the towering Buddha Dordenma Statue before enjoying an evening stroll in town. Return to Hotel Bhutan Home for the night.

DAY 3

Thimphu to Punakha

Travel to Punakha via the breathtaking Dochula Pass, where you can take in panoramic views at 3,100 meters. Visit Chimi Lhakhang Temple, dedicated to the Divine Madman, before exploring the stunning Punakha Dzong, renowned for its unique architecture. Experience a walk across the suspension bridge, offering spectacular views, before settling in for an overnight stay at Wangdue Dzong View Homestay.

DAY 4

Punakha to Gangtey

Depart for Phobjikha Valley, stopping at Wangdiphodrang Dzong en route. Enjoy the stunning views from Lawa-la Pass at 3,200 meters before visiting the serene Gangtey Monastery. After a short valley walk to appreciate the scenic landscapes, spend the night at Gangtey Tent Resort, where you can enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.

DAY 5

Gangtey Sightseeing

Immerse yourself in nature with a hike on the Gangtey Nature Trail, where you can observe the unique ecosystem of the valley. Visit Khewa Lhakhang and the Black-Necked Crane Observation Center to learn about these endangered birds. Explore the Schengen Orgyen Chodzong Nunnery and enjoy a traditional dinner at a local farmer's home, experiencing authentic Bhutanese hospitality. Return for another night at Gangtey Tent Resort.

DAY 6

Gangtey to Paro

Return to Paro, where your first stop will be Taa Dzong, now the National Museum, showcasing Bhutanese culture and history. Visit the impressive Rinpung Dzong, followed by Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. Enjoy a visit to a local farmhouse for a glimpse of rural life, and wrap up your day with a walk around Paro town. Spend the night at Zhiwaling.

DAY 7

Paro & Tiger’s Nest

Embark on a memorable hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest, perched on a cliffside. The hike offers stunning views and a spiritual experience. After your trek, spend the evening at leisure at Zhiwaling, reflecting on your experiences.

DAY 8

Departure from Paro Airport

Enjoy a leisurely morning at Zhiwaling before your transfer to Paro Airport for your departure. Take with you the memories of a breathtaking journey through Bhutan’s stunning landscapes and rich culture.
