Itinerary

DAY 1

Hanoi

Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by the guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the tree-lined boulevards, French Indochinese architecture and tranquil lakes of this unique city.

DAY 2

Hanoi | Hanoi Tour 
The capital of Vietnam, a city that celebrated 1.000 year anniversary in 2010 has countless fascinating cultural and historic sites and our days' tour will visit the highlights. See the grand and solemn mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh (viewed from outside; closed Mon and Fri and from Oct-Nov), the 'icon of Hanoi' - The One Pillar Pagoda, the beautiful Temple of Literature, West Lake's Tran Quoc temple and Quan Thanh pagoda as well as the fascinating Ethnology Museum, the bustling Old Quarter and at the end of the day - a water puppet performance.

DAY 3

Halong Bay | Halong Bay Cruise

Drive through the fertile farmlands of the Red River Delta to Halong City. Board the Cruise, a classic replica of a colonial steamship, for the overnight cruise on Halong Bay. Enjoy the magnificent scenery as the boat sails around the emerald waters and craggy limestone cliffs. Evening Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the boat. Overnight in Halong Bay.

DAY 4

Ninh Binh | Halong Bay Cruise – Ninh Binh 

For early risers, join a morning Tai Chi class onboard. As your boat cruises back to Halong City through the spectacular karsts and limestone rock formations, have a leisurely morning before enjoying brunch on-board. Your driver will meet you upon disembarkation around noon for the transfer to Ninh Binh. Arrive in Ninh Binh, check in hotel and free time.

DAY 5

Hoian | Ninh Binh Tour – Hoian 

The guide will pick you up and then visit Trang An tourist attraction, take a boat trip to visit the cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wildness, see scenery of mountain and rivers. Trang An is considered as Ha Long on the land. After lunch, transfer for visiting Hoa Lu - the Ancient Royal capital of Viet Nam. We will visit Dinh king temple and Le king temple. in the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of this two Kings in Chinese Wars. After that, we go to Tam Coc (10 km from Hoa Lu). At the end of day, transfer back to Hanoi and transfer to airport for a flight to Danang. Arrive in Danang, transfer you to your hotel in Hoian.

DAY 6

Hoian | Hoian Tour 

Walking tour of Hoi An's ancient town centre will take you back in time to when its was a major trading port in Asia. Visit old shophouses, the 400 year-old Japanese Bridge, a Chinese communal hall and the colorful market in this well-preserved town. Then free time for relaxing on Cua Dai Beach.

DAY 7

Hue | Hoian Tour – Danang – Hue Tour 

Free time for relaxing on beach or shopping. In the afternoon, drive to Hue (140km by car). On the way to Hue, stop over at Cham Museum, ascending the Pass of Ocean Clouds for panoramic views of the surroundings and visit the picturesque fishing village of Lang Co Beach. Arrive in Hue, visit the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Tomb of King Tu Duc, Trang Tien Bridge and Dong Ba Market.

DAY 8

Ho Chi Minh | Hue Tour – Ho Chi Minh City half day

Visit Mu Pagoda overlooking the Perfume River End the day at Khai Dinh's Tomb which boasts a traditional Vietnamese design with a European touch, making it unique from the other tombs in Hue. Then transfer to airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, free time.

DAY 9

Cu Chi Tunnels | Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels

Tour the Reunification Palace, followed by exploring Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office & XQ embroidery workshop. End the trip with a visit to Ben Thanh Market, After lunch, proceed to Cu Chi to explore the amazing site where Viet Cong hid during the War. It is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists - the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens. Visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed before entering the tunnels. Spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food in war time).

DAY 10

DAY 11

Phnom Penh | Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City – Phnom Penh

Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong river (Bassac River), then proceed to visit Cai Răng floating market (& Phong Dien is optional), which are the liveliest in the whole religion.

Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? Well, now go and see how it is made. Then wander around the village and meet the friendly local people and experience how to cross a "Monkey bridge" which is built by only one stem of bamboo. Visit the orchard garden. Stop for lunch. Then transfer direct to airport for a flight to Phnom Penh. Arrive in Phnom Penh, transfer to your hotel.

DAY 12

Cheung Ek & Mekong River | Phnom Penh Tour – Green Fields of Cheung Ek
The peaceful stretch of green fields of Cheung Ek may not indicate what kinds of horrors have taken place there. Situated 17km from Phnom Penh town, Cheung Ek was made famous by the movie “The Killing Fields”. Nowadays, a large memorial has been built to commemorate the 17,000 victims who died here under the reign of Khmer Rouge leader, Pol Pot. The remnants inside the memorial and the mass graves that dot the area remind you of the suffering of the victims. This journey into Cambodia’s past will provide you with a background on the cruelty of the Khmer Rouge regime. It will also give you an appreciation of the struggle that Cambodian people have faced and their tremendous courage to move on and rebuild their nation. We continue to one of the city’s lively open markets, Psar Toul Tom Pong, all called the “Russian Market”, where anything and everything is for sales! In the later afternoon we enjoy the boat cruise 1 hour along the Mekong River to view the sunset.

DAY 13

Siem Reap & Tonle Sap Lake | Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

Transfer to airport for a flight to Siem Reap. Arrive in Siem Reap, meet with the local guide and transfer to hotel for check in (Early check-in is NOT included and subject to hotel’s availability). Afterwards, you may start Siem Reap Orientation visit local main shrine of Preah Ang Chheck/Chhom temple, and visit to Angkor National Museum which we can see the artifacts from the every part of Cambodia in the ancient time. Lunch is at a local restaurant. This afternoon, drive to southern party of Siem Reap to embark on a short cruise on Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s biggest natural water body. The experience is wonderful as we pass by floating village, friendly children in small boats and fishermen at work and sunset at Phnom Kraom.

DAY 14

Siem Reap | Angkor Wat Tour
This morning, we visit the ancient Khmer civilization site of Hariharalaya which flourished in the late 9th and earlier 10th centuries. These are the earliest temples in the Angkor area and are referred to the Rolous group (Lo Lei, Preah Koh, and Bakhong Temples). Lunch with the local family today After lunch, we will continue to drive to the rural outskirt 35km from Angkor area to visit the smallest, but magnificent, Banteay Srei built in the 10th Century and dedicated to Shiva. The temple was the birthplace of Khmer classical style architecture and the bas-relief work is the best example of Khmer classical art remaining. The pink sandstone structure bears a series of striking and beautiful sculptures, lintels, pediments and friezes. Khmers say the temple must have been carved by women for the details are too fine for the hands of a man. On the way back to Siem Reap we will visit the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive reliefs depicting scenes of Vishnu as well as Krishna legends.

DAY 15

Siem Reap | Angkor Archaeological Park and Depart Siem Reap

Angkor Archeological Park for Elephant riding from South Gate of Angkor Thom to Bayon. Visit Bayon temple and its surrounding temples including the Baphou, Elephant Terraces, Lipper King Terrace and Royal Palace Enclosure area and visit one more ruin in Angkor Area of Preah Khan temple, built in 12th century by King Jayavarman VII and it is the same style to Ta Prom Temple. Continue visit to the picturesque Ta Prohm that had nearly disappeared into the jungle and remains overgrown, an oddly haunting and exotic scene. The magnificent roots of a tree, pushing between the huge stone blocks of the temple in a sort of embrace, evoke feelings that you may remember forever. And continue to visit the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat - one of the world’s most impressive ruins. The temple still owns fine Apsara carvings in Angkorian era art. Then transfer to airport for the departure flight.
