Itinerary

DAY 1

Taipei

Arrive Taoyuan International Airport. Check into the Okura Prestige Hotel in Taipei.

DAY 2

Taipei, Jiufen, Jiaosi

Explore the National Palace Museum where you can witness the world’s largest collection of Chinese artifacts. Continue to Jiufen, an old mining town with beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy a period of relaxation and soak in the revitalizing waters of the natural Jiaosi Hot Springs. Check into the Evergreen Resort Hotel in Jiaosi.

DAY 3

Polonnaruwa

Arrive at the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa and explore its many temples and religious buildings. For three centuries, Polonnaruwa was the royal capital of both the Chola and Sinhalese kingdoms. Return to Sigiriya.

DAY 4

Matale, Kandy

Arrive at Matale to visit the Spice Garden where you enjoy a head and shoulder massage while sipping herbal tea. After this, you travel to Kandy and check into Amaara Sky Hotel. Enjoy an afternoon visit to the Temple of Tooth and witness a Traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance show in the evening.

DAY 5

Kandy

Spend your free day visiting the Local Market to enjoy the local culture and local food.

DAY 6

Nuwara Eliya, Ramboda

Travel to Nuwara Eliya. En-route, stop at Ramboda to enjoy the waterfalls and visit the Tea Factory to taste the different varieties of tea Sri Lanka has to offer. Enjoy an overnight stay at the Ripon Grand Hill Hotel. 

DAY 7

Nuwara Eliya

Discover the Horton Plains National Park where you witness wildlife along with flora and fauna of Horton Plains. In the afternoon, return to the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

DAY 8

Nanu Oya, Ohiya, Ella

Travel to Nanu Oya. Board a train to Ohiya (tickets & seats are subject to availability). From Ohiya, travel to Bambarakanda Falls which is the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. Its natural beauty has impressed many tourists and nature lovers. The Falls is 20 minutes away from the 98 Acres Resort and Spa where you will enjoy an overnight stay in Ella.

DAY 9

Ella, Haputale

Discover nature trekking in Ella and hiking at Lipton’s Seat Haputale. The Lipton’s Seat lookout is one of Sri Lanka’s most impressive viewpoints. Early morning is the best time to avoid the crowds.

DAY 10

Yala

Travel to Yala, where you will camp for 2 Nights at the Yala Adventure Hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a Safari at the Yala Park.

DAY 11

Yala

Enjoy four safaris which are included in your 2 night stay at Yala Adventure Hotel. You will also have the option for an Evening walk and Night Trek, or Night Camp under the moon with a BBQ dinner.

DAY 12

Mirissa, Weligama, Galle

Travel to Mirissa for whale watching. Then move onto Weligama where you will be taken for stilt fishing. Enjoy an overnight stay at the Garton’s Cape Hotel in Galle.

DAY 13

Galle, Hikkaduwa

Tour the city of Galle. Founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century, the city’s architecture reflects Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Continue to Hikkaduwa and check into the Hikka Tranz Hotel.

DAY 14

Hikkaduwa

After breakfast, get ready for your scuba diving excursions. Continue to Colombo afterwards and check into the Ramada Colombo Hotel. 

DAY 15

Colombo

Tour Colombo on a City Tour. Depart Colombo in the evening.

Hualien, Tiansiang |  Journey by train to Hualien to visit the natural conservatory at the edge of Taroko National Park. View the impressive 19 kilometer long Taroko Gorge. Hike Swallow Grotto Trail and explore the temples in Tiansiang. Check into the Silk Place Taroko Hotel.

DAY 4

Chihshang, Zhihben, Taitung | Explore Zhihhui Beidage, Pudu Bridge and Xiangde Temple. Discover the culture, lifestyle and heritage of Taiwan's original aboriginal tribes at the Fata'an Wetlands. Check into the Hotel Royal Chihpen in Taitung where you can enjoy a paradise water massage, hot springs, ultrasonic pool, bubble pool and sauna.

DAY 5

Tainan | Travel by train to Kaohsiung and transfer to Tainan. Check into the Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel in Tainan.

DAY 6

Tainan, Lukang, Qingjing | Explore Lukang a charming township in Changhua County on the west coast of Taiwan. Visit the red-brick streets and traditional buildings of Old Street, the Lungshan Temple, and Lukang Folk Arts Museum. Hop on the electric tricycles as you explore the area. In the afternoon, depart for our mountaintop villa of Qingjing also known as the “Foggy Eden”. Here you can enjoy the fresh air, lush forests, and acres of flowers along the plains and hillsides. Enjoy the opportunity to pick fresh fruits from their local gardens and experience true farm to table dining. Check into the Ming Ging Farm Hotel.

DAY 7

Qingjing, Sun Moon Lake | For early risers, join a morning tour to see stunning sunrise views at Joy Mountain (tour is weather dependent). Enjoy the remainder of the morning at the Qingjing Farm, walk along the trails to enjoy the Alpine landscapes, and feed the local sheep. Continue to Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan’s largest lake, located in the mountains of Nantou at the geographic centre of Taiwan island. The name of the lake is inspired by the beauty of the area. The east side of the lake is round, like the sun, while the west side is long and narrow, like a crescent moon. Check into the Fleur de Chine Hotel.

DAY 8

Sun Moon Lake, Taipei  | Enjoy a walk along the lake or take a bicycle tour to experience Sun Moon Lake. Return to Taipei for departure.
