Begin your luxury safari adventure with a drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki, crossing the equator as you go. Continue to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private reserve encompassing 90,000 acres of unspoiled African landscape where the Big Five roam, and arrive at your stunning new tented camp in time for lunch. Nestled among fever trees in the shadow of Mount Kenya, Sanctuary Tambarare in Laikipia looks out across a grassy plateau. DAY 3

OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY | INTO THE BUSH

Set out on a morning game drive highlighted by an up-close visit with the world’s last northern white rhinos in their heavily guarded enclosure. Afterward, take a late afternoon game drive in this impressively biodiverse region, home to black rhinos, Grévy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes and far more. Refresh yourself on a Scenic Sundowner during your game drive, sipping cocktails while marveling at the incredible atmosphere just before dusk.

DAY 4

OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY | DESIGN YOUR DAY

This morning, enjoy one of these Design Your Day activities.

Take a Guided Bush Walk accompanied by a ranger, getting up close to the sights, smells and sounds of the African bush.

Interact with the Dogs of an Anti-Poacher Unit, and test their skills, as you hide and let them sniff you out.

Meet the Neighbors Community Interaction and see firsthand the work the conservancy undertakes. Return to the camp and savor a Chef ’s Table experience, featuring a cooking demonstration and tasting of local dishes, before lunch. Then, head out on a late-afternoon game drive. This evening, gather at your safari camp for dinner.

DAY 5

Fly to the Masai Mara Game Reserve and your luxury safari lodge on a private stretch of the Mara River. This afternoon, set out on a game drive that introduces you to the Masai Mara. The action never seems to stop and the chain of command begins with the Mara’s lion population, the largest in the country. The delicate ecosystem of the Mara is the focus of a major conservation effort to preserve one of Africa’s last true game strongholds. DAY 6

MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE | WILDLIFE ABOUNDING

Continue exploring the region on morning and afternoon game drives. You may observe crocodiles basking in the sun; hippos wallowing in muddy, cooling water; and mischievous monkeys chattering overhead. Watch, too, as huge elephants rustle along the forest edge and graceful giraffes snatch leaves from branches high above.

DAY 7

MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE | exclusive workshop

Today, watch for game on the vast plains of the Masai, and enjoy the option to visit a local Maasai village. After lunch, receive a visit from a local Maasai tribal member who conducts a workshop on bead making, providing you with a deeper understanding of Maasai culture and what their jewelry means, on this A&K exclusive experience. Tonight, gather for a farewell dinner.

DEPART NAIROBI
