DAY 1

Rome | Arrive Rome

DAY 2

Rome

Experience the splendor of the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica before these sites open to the general public. Your guide is a passionate historian who will lead you through the art, architecture and history in this once-in-a-lifetime experience in the privacy of your small group.

DAY 3

Rome

Your exclusive experience will continue with a tour of the Caesar’s Palace, the home of Rome’s first emperor and his wife, previously only opened to archaeologists and historians. Be among the first to experience the ancient treasures discovered and preserved Italy’s finest archaeologists and preservationists. Your tour will continue with tales of gladiators at the Colosseum and a small group visit of the imperial palaces.

DAY 4

Capri

Be dazzled by the charm of Capri and Anacapri in a day tour. Spend the afternoon getting lost in the charming restaurants, chic boutiques and timeless scenery. Pass through the splendor of the Blue Grotto, the famous sea cave filled with a magical blue light.

DAY 5

Pompeii - Amalfi

Close your eyes and imagine the ancient city of Pompeii before Mount Vesuvius erupted and it was buried in ash and rock. Your local guide will lead you through the events of the city’s burial and its discovery 2000 years later. Spend the afternoon on a scenic drive along the Amalfi Coast with a stop at Positano, one of the most famous villages on on the Amalfi Coast.

DAY 6

Florence | Arrive Florence.

DAY 7

Tuscany

Experience the world-famous hills, scenery, cuisine and wine on a day trip to Tuscany. Wander the streets of the beautiful medieval town of Siena, enjoy lunch and wine tasting at an authentic Chianti farmhouse and vineyard, then spend the rest of the day exploring San Gimignano.

DAY 8

Florence

Spend the early morning on a tour of the Accademia Gallery where you admire Michaelangelo’s David without the crowd. Explore the streets, piazzas, bridges of Florence with a guide. 

DAY 9

Cinque Terre

Experience magic of the beautiful rugged coast of Cinque Terre on a hike led by a private guide. Starting in the village of Manarola, you will trek through scenic trails, terraced vineyards and olive groves and the spectacular coastline of the Italian Riviera. End your hike at the cliff-top village of Carniglia where you enjoy a perfect view of the sea and surrounding hillside while having lunch complete with Mediterranean seafood and pesto pasta. Spend the afternoon relaxing in one of the bars or cafes in Vernazza , arguably the most beautiful village in Cinque Terre. Continue your afternoon wine tasting, swimming or shopping in Monterosso. End the day with a boat ride to Riomaggiore and a walk along the famous path of Via dell’Amore (Lover’s Lane) which is a walkway hanging above the sea.

DAY 10

Venice

Arrive Venice. Escape the crowds and visit the top sights of Venice by water. Admire a panoramic view of Venice at a special stop at the bell tower of one of the City’s least visited islands. See the palaces, buildings and bridges of the City and hear the fascinating stories behind them as you cruise the Grand Canal. End your tour at the quaint San Giorgio Maggiore Island.

DAY 11

Venice

Explore Venice’s two most famous sights afterhours. Visit the grand council rooms, Doge’s apartments and incredible frescos by Veronese and Tintoretto during an evening tour of Doge’s Palace, then unlock the doors to experience St. Mark’s Basilica after closing time.

DAY 12

Verona

Discover the origins of Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet” with a visit to Juliet’s balcony and other settings of Shakespeare’s famous star-crossed lovers on a day trip to the medieval town of Verona.

Venice | Depart Venice.
