Description: Your tour starts with a visit to the new Acropolis Museum, where nearly 4,000 artifacts are on display providing a glimpse of the everyday life of the ancient Greeks. The museum also provides a magnificent view of the Acropolis from its terrace. You will then head up to the top of the Acropolis hill via the gates of Propylaea as your guide shares the insight of the significance of the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Propylaia, the Nike Temple and other equally important sights you will pass along the way. You will then continue to the picturesque and vibrant streets of Plaka, for a break and lunch at leisure. After the break, your discovery continues with a scenic drive along the Athens Riviera passing the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Voula, and Varkiza towards Cape Sounion. Be captivated by the crowning jewel of the southernmost tip of Attica, the spectacular Temple of Poseidon, where you will be able to revel in majestic sunset views with a dramatic mountain backdrop.

DAY 3

Description: Your full-day sightseeing tour starts with a scenic drive along the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf towards your first stop -the Corinth canal. The famous narrow waterway that separates mainland Greece from the Peloponnese will provide you with the first of many perfect photo opportunities of the day. Crossing into the Peloponnese you enter Argolida, the land of Homer’s Golden Mycenae and home to King Agamemnon. Your walking tour of this stunning UNESCO site commences by entering through the Lion's Gate, erected during the 13th century BC and the only remaining monumental piece of Mycenaean sculpture. Explore the awe-inspiring examples of Cyclopean masonry found in the walls of Mycenae and continue with a visit to the Royal Tombs of King Agamemnon and his wife Clytemnestra along with the Treasury of Areus. From here, you will travel to the picturesque seaport town of Nafplion, once the capital of the First Hellenic Republic and of the Kingdom of Greece. Along with a walking tour, here you will also have time for lunch at your leisure. Finally, visit the Great Theater of Epidaurus, known for its perfect acoustics. Built in 340 BC, it is so well-preserved that it is still used today for dramatic theatrical performances and concerts.

This UNESCO site was one of the most important religious and political sites in the times of Ancient Greece. Explore the Temple of Apollo, the site of the most famous ancient Greek oracle, and the ancient theater on the slopes of the mountain. Continue into the Archaeological Museum of Delphi, home to impressive votive offerings to Apollo, such as the magnificent bronze statue of the Charioteer of Delphi and the sculpture of Agias, an Ancient Greek Athlete. Following your visit, enjoy lunch at your leisure in the village of Delphi or Arahova along with stops for photos.

Description: What better way to start your day than to visit the majestic monasteries perched high on the rock pillars of Meteora. Formed over 60 million years ago, only six of the twenty or more monasteries remain on these amazing rock formations, enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. They include the mid-14th century Monastery of Great Meteoron, the largest of the 6 and serving as the main museum, the Antonite Varlaam Monastery built approximately in 1541, and the Monasteries of Rousanou, St. Nicholas Anapausas and St. Stephan, all built in the 16th century.

DAY 8

Description: Head from Elounda to Rethymno with a stop along the way to visit one of the most important archaeological sites in Crete, the Minoan palace of Knossos, the mythical Labyrinth of Homer. Get ready to explore an amazing area of 22.000 square meters. A prehistoric “city”, the place where the oldest European civilization started and flourished some 5000 years ago. You will then experience an hour and a half dance session at a beautiful nature park on the Minoan Nature Dance, in theory and practice. Based on ancient Minoan Art depictions and ancient literature, you will find out through movement and steps what was the meaning of the Cretan Labyrinth Dance. Your final experience of the day will be a wonderful meal at a local restaurant at a nearby village owned by a great woman and chef.

Description: If you are passionate about hiking, you will love this guided 16km Samara trail through the longest and the most majestic limestone gorges in Europe, one of many gorges throughout Crete that stretch from the White Mountains all the way to the Libyan Sea. The adventure starts early in the morning with a relaxing drive through the scenic villages and the orange growing region of Western Crete. On reaching the plateau of Omalos and the entrance to the gorge, you will start the 6-hour hike (approximately) well-paced hike with a local guide, following a well-signposted footpath through the deep narrow valley, renowned for its dramatic landscape, huge pine and cypress trees and its diversity of plant species. Your guide will lead you down towards Agia Roumeli, a picturesque fishing village on the coast of the Libyan Sea, where you may relax on the black sandy beach or swim in the warm crystalclear waters, before taking the hour-long ferry boat ride to the quaint port of Sfakia. PLEASE NOTE: As the hike is long and strenuous, we advise that only fit and experienced individuals participate/we recommend that hikers who take part have with them: strong walking shoes or boots, a light jacket, a backpack, a sunhat, sunscreen, a swimsuit, a small towel and a bottle of water.

Description: Embark on an exciting exploration of the rich history of Western Crete. Your adventure will start with a visit to the newly excavated ancient Greek City of Eleutherna and its unique Museum. Built in an area between three hills, it is a location of impressive findings from the 9th century BC to the 5th century AD. Passing through beautiful small villages on your way, you will reach the traditional village of Margarites, renowned for its long tradition in pottery making and its local cuisine. You will visit a local pottery workshop, where you will find out all about the pottery techniques of the area and enjoy a live presentation on pottery-making by the potter. This will be followed by a walk through the village to explore its architecture. Finally, you will enjoy a very special family-style lunch at a local restaurant.

DAY 14

Step away from the Caldera and discover the island’s excellent fine wines and the secrets of the local wine making before indulging in some traditional Greek delicacies. Your expert guide will take you to two of Santorini’s renowned and long-established family wineries where you will have an opportunity to receive a fascinating glimpse into the production of volcanic wines. Along with the winery staff, he will take you through the entire wine-making process from the selection and variety of the grapes and ending with bottling the finished wine. DAY 15

You will start your sailing adventure Ammoudi port, continue below the Caldera and make your first stop at the Hot Springs for swimming and an incredible mud bath. Your journey will continue past Aspronisi, the ancient lighthouse, Akrotiri and Indian Rock before making your second stop at the White Beach for some fun water activities, swimming, and snorkeling.
