Itinerary

DAY 1

Havana

Arrive Havana. Explore La Habana Vieja (Old Havana), the heart of Cuba and an UNESCO World Heritage Site, with your private guide. Start your tour with the best view of Havana at Camera Obscura. Learn the country’s fascinating history, admire beautifully preserved architecture and explore Hemingway’s old haunts on Calle Obispo. Welcome dinner at El Aljibe, a restaurant famous among the locals for their chicken and rice plate. End the night with a cabaret show at Tropicana or live music at Buena Vista Social Club.

DAY 2

Havana

Start the day admiring whimsical art at Fusterlandia, a neighborhood brought to life by Jose Fuster, the ‘Picasso of the Caribbean”. Stop for lunch and an original Mojito at La Bodequita del Medio, one of Cuba’s most popular bars and a regular stop for celebrities. Spend the afternoon touring downtown Havana in a classic vintage car. End the day with a tour and a cocktail at Havana Club Rum Factory. Dinner on your own, followed by a Canon Ceremony at La Cabana Fortress. End the night with music, dancing and a 360 degree view of the city at El Turquino.

DAY 3

Vinales - Las Terrazas

Prepare for a memorable day away from the hustle and bustle of the city at two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First, get some fresh air at Vinales, a mountain region in Western Cuba known for its tobacco farms, limestone hills and traditional lifestyle. Learn how tobacco is grown and processed during a personal tour from a 4th generation farmer. Stop for lunch alfresco at Mural de Prehistoria , Cuba’s largest mural representing the evolution of native life. End the day at Las Terrazas Biosphere Reserve, home to over a hundred bird species and more than 70 coffee plantations. 

DAY 4

Havana

Tour Havana, including Revolution Square, in a classic vintage car. Stop for lunch at La Terraza de Cojimar, a favorite stop of Ernest Hemingway, then spend the afternoon strolling the markets for local crafts and textiles. End the day and spend your last night in Havana cooking, making mojitos and touring the kitchen at Artechef, the restaurant of Havana’s Culinary Institute.

DAY 5

Trinidad

Enjoy a scenic drive to Trinidad, Cuba’s best preserved colonial town. Slow down to the relaxed pace of this historic city by strolling through Plaza Mayor, admiring the brightly colored buildings and getting lost in the cobblestone streets. Experience life in Trinidad first hand through a Casa Particular, a private homestay where you interact with your local host and experience their lifestyle as a guest of their home. 

DAY 6

Cienfuegos - Santa Clara

Start the day with a city tour and lunch by the water in Cienfuegos, the “Pearl of Cuba”. Spend the afternoon at the Che Guevara Monument in Santa Clara. End the night at Club Ayala, a club in a cave with five dance floors.

DAY 7

Cayo Santa Maria

Enjoy the scenic drive to Cayo Santa Maria. Spend the day boating, snorkeling, swimming with wild dolphins or just soaking up the sun.
