Animal sightings inside the National Park

Manuel Antonio contains a charming combination of rain forest, beaches and coral reefs. This beaches are the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forest, and the snorkeling is excellent too. The forest is home for sloths, iguanas, the rare and adorable squirrel monkeys and millions of colorful little crabs. And the trail that winds around Punta Catedral affords some spectacular views.

DAY 3

Monteverde Cloud Forest | Transfer from Manuel Antonio to Monteverde

Take a 4.5 hour shuttle bus through central Costa Rica.

A long winding dirt road off of the Pan American Highway leads to the lush mountaintop paradise of Monteverde, which is nestled between two primary cloud forest reserves.

DAY 4

Monteverde Cloud Forest | Zipline, Sky Trek, and Sky Tram
Sky Trek is a thrilling zip line circuit that’s located in both of our parks, Monteverde and La Fortuna. Your tour will start riding an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights where you’ll be dropped off at an observation area for fantastic views. From this area, you will start riding down on a zip line track stretching across canyons and in between treetops, the exhilarating adventure of zip lining down the mountainside begins; ultimately returning you to the starting point at the main building. This is the most thrilling zip line in the country.

Cloud Forest Hiking Tour

The tour is essentially a natural history walk in which you will learn about the incredible diversity of flora and fauna and many of the unique relationships many cloud forest species have with each other. You are led along the Continental Divide to view the drastic changes of wildlife on each side. This walk normally takes about 3 hours.

DAY 5

Arenal Volcano | Transfer from Monteverde to Arenal Volcano
Take a 3 hour shuttle bus from Monteverde to Arenal.

One of Costa Rica's most notable natural features is the Arenal Volcano. This impressive volcano resides within the 29,960-acre Arenal Volcano National Park. Although the volcano entered into a resting phase in 2010 – meaning that its eruptions have paused – it is still a stunning sight. Rising above the rainforest that surrounds its base, Arenal frames the skyline with near perfect symmetry. The immediate area hosts a wealth of activities – including whitewater rafting, waterfall rappelling, hiking and canopy tours – as well as the friendly town of La Fortuna.

Tabacon Hot Springs

Discover Costa Rica´s largest network of naturally flowing thermal mineral springs in Arenal’s largest and most beautiful private, rainforest reserve.

DAY 6

Arenal Volcano | Safari Float, La Fortuna Waterfall and Volcano Hike

This tour offers travelers an excellent opportunity to explore some of the best attractions in the Arenal area. It includes a safari float along the Peñas Blancas River, a visit to the La Fortuna Waterfall, and a hike in the Arenal Volcano National Park.

DAY 7

Guanacaste Beach | Transfer from Arenal to Guanacaste Beach

Take a 4 hour shuttle bus from Arenal to Guanacaste Beach.

The region is a huge hit with visitors in search of internationally famed beaches. As a result, many of its sleepy fishing towns have continued to undergo rapid transition. New resort developments extend south from the Gulf of Papagayo in a seemingly endless expanse of beachside accommodations. Some accommodations offer unrivaled luxury, and while such high-end development may seem paradoxical in the developing world, this has been the fate for much of Guanacaste's coastline.

DAY 8

Guanacaste Beach | Surf and Beach Day

Stretching 200 kilometers of coast, Guanacaste is a surfing hotspot. The beaches are blessed with a tropical climate, and the breakers are no stranger to beginner and expert shredders. Whether you're looking for a remote getaway or a crowd favorite, this area has truly top-tier waves.

DAY 9

Liberia

Enjoy the last bit of sun and sand before your flight home. Transfer from Guanacaste Beach to Liberia Airport. Your last transfer is 2 hours by car from Guanacaste Beach to Liberia Airport.
